The Cottage “Au Plaisir du Cagire” is nestled in the foothills of Mount Cagire, opposite the Paloumère peak in the Comminges Pyrenees, at an altitude of 650 m. It is located in a small hamlet of about fifteen houses at the end of a dead-end road. Excluding holiday season, four people live in the hamlet. It is ideal for the peace and quiet of children. Only cars of the residents in the hamlet go up!
This cottage created in June 2007 in an old mountain house (the house of the tailor) has recently been carefully renovated to offer accommodation in a cosy atmosphere and maximum comfort evidenced by the label issued by Clévacances: 2 keys.
The cottage is a house typical of this region of the Pyrenees with its 60-centimetres thick ground floor stonewalls. A more recent 1st floor, built forty years ago, can offer two separate bedrooms and a bathroom.
The cottage provides, through the window, a direct view of the Pic du Paloumère (1608 m) and the river Ger valley, leading up to the Portet d’Aspet mountain pass and the Mourtis ski resort. It is located 650 m above sea level and is regularly snowy winter.
Its location on the wooded slopes of Mount Cagire is ideal for a relaxing holiday and to recharge, going for walks or hikes directly from the doorstep or cycling its mythical mountain passes.
In spring, you will discover the mountain flora during your walks. In summer, hinds at the turning of a path. In autumn, the call of the rutting stag under your windows. In winter, the joy of skiing or snowshoeing at the Mourtis ski resort, 16 km away.
Ground floor: fitted kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, lounge area (fireplace) and dining room (DVD player, TV, stereo).
Upstairs: 1 “Paloumère” room (140 × 200 + trundle bed), 1 bedroom “Cagire” (140 × 190 and sofa bed). Bathroom and toilet area. Outside: barbecue area, garden furniture.
