Streams

Three streams and tributaries flows through the township of Aspet: the Ger, the Job and the Arbas.

Protected from human activity, they offer fast-flowing waters of superior quality and purifying capacity. They assume a remarkable biological function constituting, for many species, ideal areas of breeding and feeding.

These rivers, which have large fish population, also encourage the existence of critical areas: wet meadows, lawns, moors, forests, caves and some endemic plant species such as Pyrenean Valerian.
